Video Of Moment Carter Efe Defeated Portable In Boxing Bout
A video of the moment Carter Efe defeated Portable in a celebrity boxing bout has emerged.
NewsRsin Nigeria reports that Nigerian street-hop singer Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has lost his first celebrity boxing fight after he was defeated by skit maker Carter Efe.
The bout took place on Friday night, May 1, into the early hours of Saturday morning at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to the judges’ scorecards, Efe won by unanimous decision after three rounds, with all three judges scoring the contest 27-30 in his favour.

Portable had gone into the fight unbeaten, following victories over Nollywood actor Charles Okocha in 2023 and singer Speed Darlington in April 2025.
Before the bout, both fighters had traded words during a face-off, with Portable expressing confidence in extending his winning streak.
“I will use you to collect my third belt. Charles Okocha was bigger than you, Speed Darlington was bigger than you, and I beat them. I will beat you now,” he said.
Carter Efe, however, replied, “One punch and you fall.”
Inside the ring, Portable started the fight aggressively, throwing wild punches in the opening round, but Efe remained composed and responded with more controlled shots.
In the second round, Portable continued his attacking style, but Efe grew sharper, landing cleaner punches and controlling the pace of the fight.
The third round followed a similar pattern as Efe maintained his advantage, connecting with more accurate shots until the final bell.
The result confirmed Efe as the new celebrity boxing champion and brought an end to Portable’s unbeaten run in the sport.
Recall that Portable’s first boxing victory came in December 2023 when he defeated Okocha at Landmark Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos, after a dispute linked to an alleged financial disagreement.
He later recorded another win in April 2025 when he knocked out Speed Darlington at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, after the latter failed to return for the second round due to injury.
The Chaos in the Ring 4 event was promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with former world heavyweight champion Amir Khan’s AK Promotions and sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control.
Speaking before the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group Promotions, Ezekiel Adamu, said the platform was designed to give fighters exposure.
“It’s entertainment, but I want these young guys to trust me that the world is watching. When you have a platform like this, it changes lives.
This is what it is all about for us: giving these guys the opportunity and visibility and showing the best of African boxing. It’s wartime, and let’s show the world what we have to offer here in Africa,” he said.
