FG has ordered blockage of all routes leading to Eagle Square ahead 60th Anniversary.
News Rain reports that the Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the temporary blockage of all routes leading to the venue of the Nigeria 60th Independent  Anniversary Celebration, the prestigious Eagle Square Abuja, in order to brace up the security of the square.

The Nigeria 60th Independent Parade which has been scheduled to hold at the Eagle Square on Thursday, 1st, of October 2020, has been put under heavy security watch to further enhance the security of lives and properties before, during, and after the event.
Speaking through a statement that was issued to the development, on Wednesday, the Honorable Minister for Information, and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who is also the Chairman of the Branding/Media and Publicity Sub-Committee on Nigeria @ 60 Independence Anniversary stated that from midnight on Wednesday, 30 of September 2020, all routes leading to the Eagle Square will be blocked for security purposes.
Lai Mohammed while naming the major ways that will be affected said, Shehu Shagari Way, Ahmadu Bello Way, outward and inward-bound Airport Roads and adjoining roads will be blocked to traffic.
The Minister also affirmed through the statement that the Federal Secretariat Complex will be evacuated by 2.00 pm on Wednesday, 30 Sept. 2020, which means all workers within the precinct of the Eagle Square are expected to vacate their offices from the said time.
