Appeal court has affirmed the election of Governor Diri Douye.

News Rain Nigeria reports that the Appeal Court Abuja Division has affirmed the election of Governor Diri Douye of Bayelsa State.

The Appeal Court on Friday, in a unanimous decision, upheld Governor Diri Douye as the Bayelsa State Governor, after the appellate court dismissed the Bayelsa State Governorship Election Tribunal.

Bayelsa: Appeal Court Affirms Diri As Governor

Appeal Court affirmed the dismissal of the Election Tribunal Judgement and subsequently affirmed that Governor Diri Douye is the authentic Governor of the State.

Court of Appeals, however, said that Governor Diri Douye emerged winner at the Governorship Election in the State.
