Governor Douye Diri has appointed a new CPS and 33 others.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Douye Diri, has approved the appointment of 34 new aides.
According to a statement that confirmed the approval of the appointments of the new aides, which was released on Friday by the newly appointed Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, it stated that the appointment comprised of five Honorary Special Advisers as well as four Technical Advisers and 25 Special Advisers.
Diri Appoints Ex-DSS Boss, 33 Others As Aides
Governor Diri according to the statement approved the former Acting Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Matthew Seiyefa, as an honorary Special Adviser on security matters.
Alabrah through the statement said all the appointees will be sworn in on a later date.
Governor Diri also picked the former Special Adviser on Domestic Matters to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Obriki Sylbriks, and a former member of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Franklin Otele, as his special advisers.
Diri also in the process approves the appointment of two former commissioners former Governor Seriake Dickson, Mr. Perekiye Bruboyefe, and Mr. Jonathan Obuebite, as special advisers.
Dickson’s former security adviser and retired Commissioner of Police, Mr. Akpoebi Agberebi, was also re-appointed by Diri.
