FG Increases International Airlines Passenger To 200 Per Flight

Federal Government approved 200 passengers per flight.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the increase in the numbers of the passenger of the International Airlines, with limitations to just Lagos and Abuja Airports.
The Federal Government made known the increase in the seats of passengers on the flight of the international airlines to 200 through the statement that was issued by Capt. Musa Nuhu, the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), who said that the approved capacity increase to ‘All Foreign Airline Operators Flying Into Nigeria’ through the Air Operators Letter (AOL) dated October 2, 2020.
Capt. Musa noted in the statement that the effective date of the updated flight schedule is October 2, 2020.
The statement stated also that the Federal Government has approved the increased available seats on the flights of international airlines to 200 passengers per aircraft operating into the two designated airports in the country; Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Capt. Musa through the statement stated that the directives is in line following the partial resumption of international flights approved by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) and subsequent request for additional flight frequencies by airlines updated flight schedule is given.
“You shall ensure that all flight operations are conducted in compliance with Covid-19 Health protocols as issued by Aeronautical and Public Health Authorities,” it added.
British Airways, Middle East Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Qatar Airways, RwandAir, Africa World Airlines, Asky, Air Cote d’Ivoire, Delta Airlines, and Egypt Air are the currently approved carriers to operate in the country.
The Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos with the new update to see on the average, 2,200 passengers daily while the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to witness averagely, 1,400 passengers daily.
