Six people have been killed by unknown gunmen in Plateau State.

News Rain Nigeria reports that Six People have been killed in a fresh attack In Wereng Village Of Plateau State.

News Rain Nigeria, also gathered that the unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening at about, 6 pm, launched an attack on Wereng Village, of Kuru Station in Riyom Local Government Area of the State.

The attack, according to a statement that was issued and signed to the effect by the Director of Press to the State Governor, Dr. Simon Makit Machan stated that six Victims were killed at Wereng village, Kuru Station in Riyom LGA on Tuesday night.

The statement which was made available to the newsmen in the State on Tuesday night quoted Governor Lalong to have ordered all the Security Agencies in the State to begin a serious manhunt for the gunmen that carried out the dastardly act.

Governor Lalong also in the statement called on the security agencies in the state to apprehend the killers and also put an end to series of attacks on innocent people of the State.

Lalong through the statement expressed his sympathy to the families of the victims of the sad incident, he noted that the attack is worrisome and unacceptable which must be stopped.

The State Governor also extended his sympathy to the families of the survivors of the attack who were seriously injured, stressed that the State government will not allow these ugly incidences to return where helpless and innocent people are murdered in cold blood for no reason.

He said, “These killers must be fished out at whatever cost and brought to justice. I urge the people to cooperate with the security agencies by providing useful information that will facilitate the arrest of the attackers”.
