Court has jailed Five internet fraudsters in Abeokuta.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Federal High Court of Justice, Abeokuta Division on Thursday convicted five internet fraudsters.
The names of the internet fraudsters were given as Babalola Kehinde Omogbolohan; Adekoya Abayomi Peter; Stephen Ogbebor Damilare; Opeogun Temitope Felix and Sodiq Sanni (a.k.a Alan Anderson).

According to the Press Release from the office of the Head, Media and Publicity of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), Ibadan Zonal Headquarters, Mr. Wilson Uwujare stated that the internet fraudsters were convicted and sentenced by Justice Ibrahim Watilat of the Federal High Court Abeokuta Division. Omogbolohan, Damilare, and Felix were given five months imprisonment each, while Peter bagged four months for the crime.
The Release which a copy was made available to the News Rain Nigeria in Ibadan, stated that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Thursday, October 8, 2020, secured the conviction of five internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
The internet fraudsters were convicted and sentenced to jail after pleading guilty to the amended one-count charge of fraudulent impersonation.
The statement confirmed that all the convicts are to restitute their victims the sums of money they fraudulently obtained from them and forfeit all the items recovered from them to the federal government.
Omogbolohan and Peter were given N100,000 options of fine each, while Felix and Damilare were handed N400,000 and N300,000 options of fine respectively.
