The Miyetti Allah Nasarawa chapter made the call through its State Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Hussaini during a stakeholder meeting called on the members of the State to desist from taking the laws into their hands and give peace a chance.

Alhaji Hussaini, State Chairman of MACBAN at the meeting said the members need to embrace peace and desist from destroying crops and attacking farmers, towards sustainable peaceful coexistence in the state.
Hussain, at the meeting which has in attendance the representatives of Nigeria Army, Nigeria Police, DSS, and other stakeholders, noted that ” We are in a state that has laws, so anyone aggrieved due to attacked on his cows should report to the security agencies or to us for redress.
“If you report to us or the security agencies, you will get justice, but if you attack the person on your own, you will be arrested for breaking to law,” Alhaji Hussaini added.
Hussain also appealed to Fulani people in the neighboring Benue State to obey the anti-open grazing law in the state in the interest of national unity.
Hussaini also appealed to Tiv people in Benue and Nasarawa States to also embrace peace and desist from attacking their cows and killing Fulani people.

He explained that if the Fulani and Tiv people would be law-abiding it would go long way towards addressing insecurity in the two States.
Meanwhile, Danladi Chiroma, North-Central Zonal Chairman of Miyitte Allah said as leaders, they would not tolerate any member who deliberately breaks the law.
He said that if Fulani people in Benue State desist from destroying crops and attacking farmers, the Benue State Government would relax the law to accommodate them.
He said that the law was enacted because of the problems associated with grazing hence the need for their members to continue to be law-abiding.
