ENDSARS: South West Govs, Ministers Pay Condolence Visit To Sanwo-Olu
Southwest Governors on Sunday visit Lagos to sympathize with Sanwo Olu.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu hosted South West Governors, who paid him a condolences visit over the loss of lives and destruction of properties that were recorded in the State as results of the nationwide ENDSARS protests which was later hijacked by hoodlums.
The South West Governors, that were led Ondo State Governor Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, also have in attendance at the visit, Engr. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, met with their Lagos State counterpart at the State House, Marina, also assessed most of the scenes of the affected areas, such as the State High Court, Igbosere, the City Hall, Lagos State DNA, and Forensic Center, Nigerian Ports Authority, Headquarters, Marina, Lekki Toll Gate among others.

The Governors concerned about the loss of lives and destruction of public and private properties by the hoodlums noted that the protest, widely acclaimed as peaceful and purpose-driven, has been hijacked by some people, ostensibly to execute a destructive design.
Speaking on behalf of all the Governors, the South West Governors Forum Chairman, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State said that they in Lagos to solidarize with Sanwo-Olu on the mayhem and also to commiserate with families of those who lost their lives in the EndSARS protests.
He also noted that the Governors of the South West States of Nigeria wish to solidarize with the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu, on the unfortunate occurrences of the past few days in Lagos State, which have impacted, negatively, on the whole region.
He said, that It is disquieting, to assert the least, that a protest, widely acclaimed as peaceful and purpose-driven, has been hijacked by some people, ostensibly to execute a destructive design.
“We commend the Governor of Lagos State for his administrative acumen. We note his patience and understanding in the face of unwarranted provocation by agents of darkness. We stand, resolutely with him at this trying period. We should not allow brigandage and wanton destruction of Iives and property within our walls In the South-West.
“As we await reports from relevant agencies and activities of the Government, we appeal to the young one: again to suspend the #ENDSARS protest, remain calm and vigilant.
“We commiserate with the families of victims of violence across Lagos State and slain policemen. We pray that the Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear these avoidable losses.” Akeredolu said.
The Governors also make use of their visit to commiserate with the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, on the sacrilege committed on his palace, as well as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the attacks on his businesses entities.
Also present at the solidarity visit was the Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Trade, Investment and Industry, Niyi Adebayo; Fashola, Minister of State for Health, Oloruninmbe Mamora, Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Fasola and others.
