Kidnapping: LCDA Chairman, Driver Regain Freedom After 6 Days
The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the release of LCDA Boss.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Oyo State Police Command on Saturday confirmed the release of the abducted Iganna Local Council Development Area Caretaker Chairman, Mr. Jacob Olayiwola Adeleke, and his driver from the kidnappers captive.
News Rain Nigeria recalls that Mr. Jacob Olayiwola Adeleke and his driver were on Sometimes last weekend kidnapped by some unknown gunmen, at Okeho – Ado Awaye Road, while on his way to Ibadan the Oyo State Capital for a crucial meeting.

We also gathered that the kidnappers had contacted the family of the abductees demanding the sum of N200m ransom before they could be released from their den.
However, the Oyo State Police Command through the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Olugbenga Fadeyi confirmed the release of the two kidnapped victims.
SP. Olugbenga Fadeyi, today, Saturday, 31st, October 2020, during a phone conversation with the News Rain Nigeria Correspondent in Ibadan said, “The Chairman has regained his freedom and reunited with his family.”
Sequel to their release, the State Commissioner of Police, CP. Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu has on Wednesday while briefing journalists at the State Command Headquarters Eleyele Ibadan, during the parade of nine arsonists and looters that were arrested in Iseyin Town, over their allegedly involved in burning and looting of the Divisional Police Headquarters in Iseyin, noted that all hands were on deck to make sure that the abducted LCDA boss and his driver are release unhurt from the kidnappers’ den this weekend.
Meanwhile, News Rain Nigeria gathered that it took the combined efforts of the Police, and Vigilante group in the zone, to secure the release of the two abductees.
