Another motor accident has claimed a life at the immigration Junction of Awka.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that just after two weeks, the same Immigration Junction of Akwa has claimed another life due to a ghastly motor accident.
According to an eyewitness who said gave a detailed account of the accident said, it is so sad that today, Friday, 20th November 2020, another fatal crash happened at this junction (Immigration Junction).
Auto Crash Claim Life At Immigration Junction Awka
The eyewitness who pleaded anonymously said the driver of a diesel ladened truck was trapped in the crash and died on the spot.
According to the eyewitness who maintained that the accident is an alone accident, noted that the crash occurred as a result of the loss of control due to excessive speeding by the truck driver.
He stressed that two male adults were on board including the truck driver who got trapped in the process but later brought out dead and deposited at the Mogue at Amaku teaching hospital by FRSC rescue team from the Sector Command who were on ground to ensured free flow of traffic and to also maintained law and order.
News Rain Nigeria recalled that two weeks ago the Immigration junction Awka recorded a ghastly accident in which about ten people were seriously injured as about five vehicles collided at the junction due to uncontrolled speed by a heavy-duty vehicle.
Noted also that motor crash has occurred at the said junction, by a Coca-Cola truck that veered into the Anambra State Revenue House at the junction destroying the fence while trying to maneuver bad portions of the road.
While responding to the sad incident, the Anambra State Sector Commanders of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Andrew Ayodele Kumapayi said the accident is unfortunate, noted that motorists should always drive to safety.
Kumapayi noted that Immigration junction Awka was one of the major flashpoints in the state and that the corps has continued to advise the motorists to avoid road mishaps while trying to negotiate the junction.
Mr. Kumapayi gave the details of the late drivers and the incident, through a statement that release on the development, stressing that, a male adult identified as Mr. Taiwo, a truck driver died in a lone fatal crash at about 1828hrs this evening 20th November 2020 when a white mark truck without a registration number crashed at immigration junction along Awka-Enugu expressway.
The sector commander through the statements condoled with the families and friends of the victim of the accident.
