Shehu Sani and other Nigerians have reacted to the gruesome murdered of 43 Rice Farmers by the Boko Haram sect.

 

News Rain Nigeria reports that senator Shehu Sani and other Nigerians have started to show they’re displeased over the gruesome murder of 43 rice farmers killed on Saturday 28 November 2020 by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

The 43 farmers were said to have been killed in their rice farm, by the Boko Haram sect that launched an attack on them at Jere Local Government Area of the State.

Boko Haram after killing the farmers, left their corpses for local hunters to be discovered early hours of Saturday, while their corpses have been taken to Zambarmari Village.

However, the sad occurrence has generated reactions from prominent Nigerians.

Reacting to the sad occurrence, Senator Sheu Sani through his Tweeter handle described the incident as a horrible and tragedy.

The Senator who represented the people of Kaduna Central at the 8th Assembly maintained that the reported massacre of over 40 farmers by insurgents in Borno state earlier today is condemnable.

Sani noted that this is recurring news for some, but a horrible tragedy for the children, wives, and loved ones they left behind. Every dawn of a new day, our nation bleeds in the hands of evil.”

Also in his reaction, the former Presidential Aspirant, Alhaji Adamu Garba, said the current security situation in the North should be seen beyond government or region.

Also reacting, a former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, urged that the current security situation in the north should be seen beyond government or region, saying “It is about our lives, We must pressure the government to do their primary responsibility which is to secure all and sundry irrespective of political, ethnicity, or religious affiliation.

Garba maintained that everyone is affected by the level of insecurity in the North, stressing that everyone must speak up to clean up the North from the hold of the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

In his reaction, Bello Shagari, called for outright removal of all the Service Chiefs, saying they have all failed completely.

Bello Shagari, a grandson to the late Former President Sheu Shagari stressed that without fear or favor, if they remain in office, and people continue to lose their lives, then there’s no commitment to the fight against insurgency and security challenges that is starring at the Country.

However, President Muhammadu Buhari has also reacted to the incident.

President Buhari, reacting through a statement issued by his media aide, Garba Sheu condemned the killing.

The statement stated thus, “I condemned the killing of our hardworking farmers by terrorists in Borno State. The entire country is hurt by these senseless killings.

My thoughts are the victim’s families, in this time of grief. May their souls rest in peace.

President Buhari also stressed through the statement that the government had given all the needed support to the armed forces in order to take all necessary steps to protect the Country’s population and her territory.

Meanwhile, the sad incident has started generating reactions from Nigerians on social media, some of the reaction is calling on President Buhari to as a matter of urgency sack all the service Chiefs.
