RIP! SWAN Mourns Ex 3SC Boss
SWAN, Oyo Chapter of Sports Writers Association has condoled with the family of Ex 3sc Boss.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Oyo State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has on Monday, 30 November 2020 condoled with the family of the Ex-Chairman of the Shooting Stars Sports Club, Alhaji Gbolagade Busari over his demise.
The Association condoled with the family of the late Politician and prayed that God gives them the fortitude to bear the loss.
SWAN Mourns Ex 3SC Boss
Oyo SWAN also commiserated with the management of Shooting Stars Sports Club over the death of their former Chairman, Alhaji Gbolagade Busari who passed on today at the age of 61.
Alhaji Gbolagade Busari, popularly known as Busso during his lifetime, died at the University College Hospital Ibadan where he had been receiving treatment following a brief illness.
Oyo SWAN according to a condolence message which is jointly issued and signed by its Chairman, Comrade Niyi Alebiosu, and Secretary, Adewale Tijani, described the death of Busso as a monumental loss to not only 3SC but also to the sports fraternity, the Journalism profession, and the Political Class.
Oyo SWAN in a copy of its statement made available to the News Rain Nigeria State Correspondent stressed that the death of Busso is shocking, stressing that the association will surely miss him for his statesmanship”.
Alebiosu stressed that the late Busari was a bridge builder who strived to ensure that peace reigns among sportswriters in the state, maintained that the association can’t forget the role Late Busso played in resolving the dispute among sportswriters in Oyo State. He also toiled to return 3SC’s to its former prestigious place”.
The late Busari was the Chairman of 3SC during the tenure of immediate Governor of Oyo State Late Abiola Ajimobi, before he joined politics, he was a sports journalist with the defunct Sketch Newspaper.
He rose to the position of Chief Editor before relocating to the U.S, from where he returned to join politics and subsequently became 3SC Chairman.
