Makinde has Sworn-In new Commissioner for Establishment and Training.

 

News Rain Nigeria reports that the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Tuesday Sworn-In Alhaji Ismaila Ayansiju Lawal as the State Commissioner for Establishment and Training.

Makinde in his Office at Agodi Secretariat Ibadan the Oyo State Capital, during the sworn-in of Alhaji Ismaila Ayansiju Lawal as the newly Commissioner for Establishment and Training, also disclosed slight change in the State Executive cabinet, maintaining that the change became necessary as to strengthen the governance towards achieving its major agenda within speculated period.

The Governor in his short remark announced the shifting of Professor Daud Sangodoyin to the ministry of Public Works.

Makinde said his cabinet is one driven by ideas devoid of godfatherism, stressing that the people of the state are the ultimate ones to be accountable.

He charged the new commissioner on teamwork and and professionalism in the discharge of his duties urging others who are yet to get appointments to remain calm and patient maintained that all will still benefit.

News Rain Nigeria recalls that the former commissioner for works, Prof Raphael Afonja, was sacked on 10th of August, 2020 shortly after recovering from COVID-19 which kept him out of office for some weeks.

Consequently, the ministry of public works has continued to run without a commissioner until the nomination of Alhaji Ayansiju who was confirmed by the State House of Assembly yesterday, Monday 14th December, 2020.
