Aisha Buhari, has reacted to reports that she fled Nigeria to Dubai.

News Rain Nigeria gathered that the First Lady disclosed that she traveled out of the country for medical checkup.

Speaking through one of her aides, Kabiru Dodo, in Jalingo, Taraba State over the weekend when her foundation presented some items to widows, she said the First Lady left her children, husband, and family in the country.

According to Dodo: “The First Lady traveled for her medical trip, she did not flee the country because of insecurity.

“She left her children, her husband and family in Nigeria.

“What people are saying is baseless and worth nothing to be considered.

“I want to tell the whole world that I do speak to her on daily basis and she is ready to return to the country as soon as she is done with the medical treatment abroad.”

Recall that about six days ago, the first lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, was rumored to have relocated to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

According to the reports, Mrs Buhari reportedly hinged her decision to relocation on the insecurity in Aso Rock.

Aisha Buhari is not new to controversy. She surprised Nigerians when she made it known that her role as the wife of the president of Nigeria will be limited to whatever is constitutionally recognized, as Aisha promised not to overstep.

At the presentation of awards to wives of governors, on Thursday, June 13, 2019, Aishat Buhari adopted the title of first lady five years after President Buhari said he would scrap the office.

However, she is a vocal advocate of women’s rights and children rights, and this was a focal point during her campaign for her husband’s election in 2015.
