News Rain Nigeria reports that 10 days after shutting down United States Of America’s president Donald Trump’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of the social media platforms has restored the official pages.

However, they were restored in the early hours of Saturday, January 16.
The CEO had in a statement on Thursday, January 7, said, “We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great. Therefore, we are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.”
Recall that Facebook originally blocked Trump’s account from posting for 24 hours. A statement said: “We’ve assessed two policy violations against President Trump’s Page which will result in a 24-hour feature block, meaning he will lose the ability to post on the platform during that time.”
Twitter also suspended Trump’s account, for 12 hours, on Wednesday after removing a video clip of Trump’s first official statement on the riots on Capitol Hill, when his supporters broke glass and doors on the building and invaded while lawmakers were inside
