The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has adjourned the collation of results of the Abia State governorship election till 9:00 am Monday morning.
State Presiding Officer of the election, and Vice-Chancellor, of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, Professor Nnenna Oti, announced the adjournment around 7:15 pm Sunday shortly after the Collation team returned from three -hour break.
APC wins 13 of 17 LGAs in Benue; as collation continues tomorrow
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia, has extended his lead in the governorship results released by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, from 17 Local Government areas of the state to 156,736 votes.
Results released from six more LGAs including Gboko, Ohimini, Guma, Ushongo, Ogbadibo, and Oju indicated that the APC candidate won in five LGAs with additional 133,407 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate Titus Uba won in Guma with additional 71,363 votes.
The tally of votes so far garnered by both candidates shows that the APC candidate has scored 327,962 votes while the PDP candidate has polled 171,223 votes.
Below are the results from the additional six LGAs that brought the total number of released governorship results to 17.

The incumbent Borno State governor, Professor Babagaba Zulum, is leading in seven local governments so far declared.
The local government arears are Mafa, Dikwa, Nganzai, Jere, Guzamala, Kaga and Magumeri.
Zulum has 132,526 votes. His closest opponent, Ali Jajari of PDP, has 5,144 votes.

Bayelsa Assembly: PDP clinches 10 seats, APGA 2, APC 2

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has clinched ten seats in the 14 state constituencies so far released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to the results released by INEC, on Sunday, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, won two seats each.
As at press time, results from the remaining ten state constituencies are still been awaited.
The state has twenty-four state constituencies.
PDP leads with 28,147 in Kaduna

The major opposition party in Kaduna, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is in the early lead with 28,147 votes.
The Collation was ongoing at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Kaduna and commenced at about 2:20 pm. So far, results has been released from seven local government areas of Kaura, Giwa, Sanga, Kajuru, Makarfi, Ikara, and Jaba.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has won in Giwa and Ikara, while the PDP won in five LGAs, of Kaura, Sanga, Kajuru, Jaba, and Makarfi.

Guber polls: INEC declares PDP winner in Akwa Ibom
The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won the 2023 Gubernatorial polls in a grand style, polling a total vote of 354, 348 to beat 17 other political parties in the state.
In the results announced by the State Returning Officer, Professor Emmanuel Adigioh Vice Chancellor, Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State Young Progressive Party came a distant second with 136,262 votes, while the All Progressive Congress came third position polling total votes of 129,602.
The Young Progressive Party won in two local government areas of Ibiono Ibom and Ikono.
The PDP equally won Essien Udim, the stronghold of Senator Godswill Akpabio, an APC chieftain, and Senator-Elect on the platform of APC.

Ogun Assembly:26-years-old Kashamu’s son, Rasheed wins
Rasheed Kashamu, son of the late Senator Buruji Kashamu has been announced the winner of the House of Assembly election into Ijebu North Constituency 1.
He polled 10, 004 to defeat the incumbent member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester ‘Niyi Abiodun, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
At 26, the younger Kashamu will probably be the youngest House of Assembly Member in Ogun state and nationwide in this dispensation.
Kashamu has a B.Sc in International Business and Management from Brunel University, London. He also has a Master of Science degree in International Finance and Investment from the University of Surrey.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Hon. Solomon Akpulonu and Chief Erondu Uchenna Erondu, both of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the winner of the Obingwa East and Obingwa West state constituencies in the Abia State House of Assembly.
Returning Officer for Obingwa East Constituency said Akpulonu polled 7,772 to defeat his closest rival, Peter Azubuike of the Labour Party, who scored 1,636.
He stated that Prince Matthew Chilaka of the YPP got 1, 257 while Daniel Mbonu of APGA scored 450 votes.
In Obingwa West state constituency, Returning Officer, Wokocha David said the PDP candidate, Erondu Uchenna Erondu polled 13,769, while the Labour Party, Mrs Victoria Onwubiko, scored 3,028.

INEC declares Kwara Speaker, 26-year-old Rukayat Shittu Winners of Assembly election
Speaker of Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has been re-elected to represent Ilesha-Gwanara state constituency in the Assembly election results released by INEC on Sunday.
Also, a 26-year-old former Senate President of Congress of NOUN Students (CONS) at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Rukayat Shittu has been declared winner as a fresh member of the Kwara state House of Assembly.
In the result announced by the INEC returning officer, Professor Hakeem Ijaya, Rukayat who contested on the platform of APC scored 7,521 votes to beat her
PDP rival polled 6,957 votes in the Saturday House of Assembly election.
Rukayat will represent Owode/Onire constituency in Asa local government of Kwara State House of Assembly.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the Kwara state Speaker, Rt. Hon Yakubu Danladi-Salihu of the APC winner of the Ilesha-Gwanara state constituency said he edged out his main contestant, Usman Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Declaring the result at the collation center for the Ilesha/Gwanara constituency at the Gwanara LGEA primary school, the Returning Officer, Dr. Adewale Rafiu, said Danladi-Salihu polled 14, 949 votes while his closest rival, Usman Abubakar of the PDP got 2,072 votes.
With this result, Danladi-Salihu has now won the seat of the Ilesha-Gwanara constituency for a second term.
Gov Ahmad Fintiri leads in Adamawa
10 local governments of the 21 council areas have been released by INEC at its collation center.
Of the number, the PDP flagbearer and incumbent Governor Ahmad Fintiri clinched 6 while Senator Aishstu Binani of the APC got 4.

Makinde wins Oyo governorship election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde winner of the governorship election in the state.
Makinde polled a total of 563,617 votes while his closest rival, Sen. Teslim Folarin scored 251,230. Adebayo Adelabu of the Accord came a distant third polling 38,757.

Governor Makinde clears 31 local govts
The incumbent Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has equalled the history of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi; to have become the second governor to secure re-election in the state.
Makinde, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, cleared 31 out of the 33 local government areas in the state.
He beat the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Teslim Folarin, and Accord Party, AP, candidate, Adebayo Adelabu.
Serving Ondo lawmakers defeated
Four serving members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, who sought re-election, have suffered defeat in Saturday’s March 18 election.
They include Tomide Akinribido (Ondo West 1 PDP); Favour Tomomewo (Ilaje 2, ADC); Taofeeq Muhammed (Akoko Northwest 2, APC) and Toluwani Borokini (Akure South1, APC).
However, four other incumbent lawmakers won their elections. They are Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi (Owo 1 APC/ Majority Leader); Oladiji Olamide (Ondo East APC); Ololade Gbegudu (Okitipupa 11, APC); and Abayomi Akinruntan (Ilaje 1, APC).

PDP ahead, as collation begins in Delta
COLLATION of results in the Saturday’s governorship election has begun in the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Asaba, the Delta State capital.
The collation began at 9a.m., this morning with the announcement of result from Aniocha North, where the PDP candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori, polled 8,938 votes and APC candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, scored 4,386.
According to the results announced by the State Collation Officer, Prof. Georgewill Owuneri, the Labour Party candidate, Ken Pela, came a distant third with 1,883 votes.
In Ika North-East, Oborevwori scored 26,760 to come first, while Senator Ovie Omo-Agege got APC 4,733 votes.
In Ndokwa East, Oborevwori got 10,146 votes; Omo-Agege, 9,044, and Pela, 251.

The governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has won in 15 out of the 16 local governments announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Sanwo-Olu in early lead
The incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, is in early lead, as Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, continues with collation.
So far, Sanwo-Olu has 593,614 votes.
The Labour Party, LP, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour got 201,353 votes, while Olajide Adediran, Jandor, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, got 53,827 votes.
Specifically, Governor Sanwo-Olu won Somolu LGA, polling 36,783 votes to defeat LP’s Gbadebo, who scored 15,096, while Jandor of PDP got 3,130 votes.
Recall that APC lost this local government at the presidential election.
Desmond Elliot wins
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Surulere Constituency, Lagos State, Mr. Desmond Elliott, winner of the state Assembly election held on Saturday.
Elliott polled 17,837 votes to defeat his closest rival, Adebayo Bode of the Labour Party, LP, who had 7,822 votes.
Also, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Thompson Sulaimon Abolaji, polled 1,045 votes.
The result was announced by the INEC Returning Officer, Dr. O. J. Fenuga.

PDP wins Ekeremor Constituency I in Bayelsa
The incumbent lawmaker representing Ekeremor Constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Tari Porri, of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has retained his seat having been declared as the winner of the Saturday poll.
INEC returning officer for Ekeremor Constituency I, Bernard Ebiasuode who made the declaration, Sunday morning, said Porri scored 4,216 votes while the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came second with 1562 votes. The Social Democratic Party (SDP), pulled 973 votes to come third.
INEC puts the total votes cast at 7,473, invalid votes 107, while total valid votes 7,366.
Plateau Speaker, Majority Leader lose to PDP
The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Mr. Yakubu Sanda, and the Majority Leader of the House, Mr. Na’anlong Daniel, both of the All Progressives Congress, APC, lost their re-election bids to the candidates of People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Sanda lost his Pengana constituency seat to Mrs. Happiness Akawu, while Daniel lost his Mikang constituency seat to Mr. Moses Sule.
Sanda of the APC, who scored a total of 7,936, while Akawu of the PDP scored 9,926 to emerge winner.
Meanwhile, in a result announced by Associate Professor Umaru Takum, Daniel of the APC scored 9,848, while Sule of the PDP scored 12,880 to emerge winner.

The Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won his re-election bid.
Ogundoyin represents Ibarapa East state constituency at the state house of assembly.
He polled 10,039 to defeat the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate who polled 7,111 and other candidates.
Ogundoyin will be returning to the state assembly as a third-time member.

Senator Ademola delivers for Dapo Abiodun
Senator Solomon Adeola, APC Senator-elect for Ogun West, has won his polling unit at U.A.M.C School, Pahayi, Ilaro for APC and its governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, against the closest rivals — ADC that scored 106 votes, and PDP’s 84.
Similarly, the Senator won his Ilaro Ward 1 with a total vote of 1,713, while ADC and PDP scored 1,094 and 915 votes, respectively, from the collated and announced by INEC officials.
Equally, results collated at the Situation Room of APC in Ogun West show that the Senator equally won Yewa South for APC, while it is certain that Ogun West will post huge votes for APC at the end of collation of the five LGAs of the district.
Speaking earlier to journalists after voting, Senator Adeola expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the governorship and state assembly elections.
Assembly: Soludo delivers Ward for APGA
Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State successfully delivered his Isuofia Ward in Aguata Local Government Area for the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
APGA scored 1,900 votes to beat the Labour Party, LP, which polled 431 votes. The YPP came third with 258, while PDP scored 33 votes.
Folarin loses polling unit to Makinde
The All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate, Teslim Folarin, lost his polling unit at Idi Ose, Ona Ara Local Government Area to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Folarin polled 89 votes, Adelabu polled six, while Makinde polled 196 votes.
El-Rufai, Uba Sani win in their polling units
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has delivered his Polling Unit 024 Ungwan Sarki, Kaduna to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Saturday governorship and state assembly elections, according to the Presiding Officer Haruna Shafiu.
Shehu, who announced the results said the APC candidate, Senator Uba Sani polled 257 votes as against the PDP Candidate, Isa Ashiru who scored 81 votes in the governorship poll.
He announced that New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) got 2 votes, while ADP scored 3 votes and PRP 4 votes.
The APC also won in polling unit 026 next to where Governor El-Rufai voted, with 146 votes, while PDP scored 61 votes.
The Presiding Officer at Polling Unit 026, Maryam Abubakar, announced the results that, NNPP and Labour Party scored two and three votes respectively.
At his Polling Unit in Kawo, Kaduna North Local Government Area, the APC Governorship Candidate, Senator Uba Sani floored the PDP and other parties.
The Presiding Officer said APC’s Senator Uba Sani scored 85 votes to defeat his closest contender, PDP’s Isa Ashiru who polled 54 votes, while Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi of NNPP scored 12 votes.

APC gov’ship candidate, Dikko won at President Buhari’s polling unit
President, Muhammadu Buhari has won his ward for the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Dikko Umar Radda in the Saturday governorship and house of assembly elections held in Katsina today, Saturday.
The result announced by the ward’s collation officer, Hamza Yusuf, showed that APC scored 261 votes; PDP 32 while NNPP had no votes.
Similarly, For the State House of Assembly elections, APC scored 240 votes, PDP 50 and NNPP had 0 votes.
Gov Makinde won at Ladoja polling unit
Governor, Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party, has won at the polling unit of former Governor Rashidi Ladoja.
Ladoja, who had not been in support of the second term bid of Makinde, casts his vote at ward 10 in the Ibadan North Local Government Area of the state.
The PDP polled 98 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congressive, APC candidate, Teslim Folarin, who scored 35 votes at unit 17.

Dapo Abiodun loses at Dimeji Bankole’s polling unit
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Saturday lost the polling unit of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Bankole voted at Polling Unit 6, Ward 10, Sodeke/Isale-Ijeun I, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state.
The PDP’s Ladi Adebutu polled 77 votes while Abiodun of APC scored 65.
ADC’s Biyi Otegbeye had 26 Votes.

Governor Abiodun wins at Osoba’s polling unit
Former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba has won his polling booth at Omololu polling unit located in Government Reservation Area (GRA) in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state for All Progressives Congress(APC).
The result governorship poll from the polling unit on showed that All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded 89, the results equally showed that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled 43, while Action Democratic Congress(ADC) recorded 36 and Social Democratic Party(SDP) with one vote.
The State Assembly results showed that the All Progressives Congress(APC) garnered 86 votes followed by People’s Democratic Party(PDP) with 46 votes, Action Democratic Congress(ADC) 26 and Labour Party (LP) 7 votes.

PDP deputy guber candidate, Funke Akindele loses polling unit to APC
The deputy governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the Lagos governorship election, Olufunke Akindele, has lost her polling unit to the incumbent, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Akindele’s polling unit is 019, Ita Aro Square, Àga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu, Lagos state, where she cast her vote earlier on Saturday.
Sanwo Olu polled a total of 77 votes to defeat PDP’s Olajide ‘Jandor’ Adeniran, and his running mate, Akindele, who scooped a total of 19 votes.
Labour Party’s candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour polled three votes, while Funsho Doherty of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled two votes.
