It’s a testament to the active and discerning nature of (we)consumers as over 300 brands were nominated for consideration”.

“For three months, consumers across the country cast their votes, carefully considering which brands provided the best value for their hard-earned money.

Today, we proudly announce that over 50 brands have emerged victorious as the best value for money brands, for the second time, we are grateful to have you share this experience of validating brand efficacy through consumer (your)votes.

These brands have not only met but exceeded the expectations of discerning consumers, consistently delivering products and services that resonate with the very heart of what the Consumer Satisfaction Index stands for, unwavering dedication to consumer happiness and contentment”.

“The badge of honor that these brands will receive today is not just a symbol; it’s a reflection of their relentless commitment to consumer-centricity. It’s a salute to the tireless efforts they have put into understanding and fulfilling the needs of the modern Nigerian consumer.

In conclusion, Mr. Ekine said; “The Consumer Satisfaction Index is a mirror reflecting the synergy between the demands of consumers and the passion of brands to meet those demands.

Tonight, as we gather to applaud these exceptional brands, let us also celebrate the spirit of informed consumerism that drives us all towards a brighter and more fulfilling future”.

Also speaking at the event gov. Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Oluremi Ososanya, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Commerce and Industry, commended the organisers on the event.

The Governor applauded the initiative, aimed at protecting the interests of consumers through advocacy and raising awareness on consumer rights.

“As we all know, the overriding responsibility of governments as enshrined in the Constitution is to ensure the welfare and security of the citizens.

“Promoting citizens’ welfare connotes, among other things, protecting them against exploitation and ensuring that they receive the value for money spent to procure goods and services.

“Being the commercial and industrial nerve centre of the nation, the Lagos State Government recognised the need to put in place an agency that would be charged with the responsibility of ensuring that people are not shortchanged or exploited and receive the satisfaction expected from the goods and services purchased,” Sanwo-Olu said.

There were also goodwill messages from the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Agency(FCCPA), Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency(LASCOPA), and Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority(NCAA).
