Speaking on the recent protest, PFN president, Wale Oke said: “When we have protests or grievances, let’s make it non-violence, no vandalism, no killing, if we do that, we will be damaging a good cause. It is good to protest because part of democracy is to make our feelings known, but not in a violent manner.”

Bishop Oke also commended President Tinubu for his people-oriented policies and urged him to hasten the implementation of the minimum wage law.

“The president is doing his very best to alleviate the suffering of the people, we appreciate him. I want to admonish the President to hasten the implementation of the minimum wage law that has been signed”.

”Let him roll out the system by which it will be implemented. Nigerians have found themselves in a situation where prices of everything have gone up, but wages have not been increased. So, let the minimum wage law be implemented quickly to alleviate the economic pressure on the people.

“Let the Nigerian refineries work. If we keep importing fuel, it will be pricey; let the refineries work. Let’s allow Dangote’s intervention to survive. That man is not looking for an opportunity to acquire wealth. He only wants to use his wealth to help Nigeria. We shouldn’t frustrate him. We should allow him to do what he wants to do”.

“All hands should be on deck to bring the price of fuel down. If that’s down, transport will go down. Many things will go down and life will be easier for Nigerians. That’s very, very important.”

“Also, let’s create jobs for our restive youths, and the government should be on their toes on how to make our naira valuable as the lives of the people revolve around our money. The protests are a call that Nigerians are in pain.”
