…As NUJ Correspondent Chapel Pays Courtesy Visit To His Office

Mr. Albert Sunday Ndem, the proprietor of Christ Devine Favour Schools Yaba, has called on the federal government to appoint professionals to head the various branches in the educational sector and encourages private educational institutions to give scholarships to the less privileged.

He said this during a recent courtesy and familiarization visit of the executives of Correspondent Chapel NUJ Lagos to his office in Lagos.

Mr. Albert speaking further laments the poor state of the educational system and said the spate of tribalism played in getting approvals of schools and other relevant approvals from the governing bodies of the educational sector is a call for concern.

Moreover, the appointees fixed to head departments in the educational sector are not educationists; therefore, set policies by these non-educationists meet with complications as they are not by educational standards.

In his statements, he emphasized that; “Govt should look into the educational sector critically and holistically.

There are challenges in tribalism that have been neglected for years; it’s high time the government gives full concentration to the educational sector and reshuffles heads devoid of tribalism.

Educationists should head educational bodies and institutions.”

Mr. Albert added that some non-governmental organizations and churches have also assisted in giving free scholarships to the less privileged students of his school.

Finally, he appreciates the presence of Correspondence Chapel Excos who visited his office as he promises to support the chapel’s future endeavors.
