Arsenal defeated Manchester City 5-1 to deliver a statement of intent in the Premier League title race.

Kai Havertz made it four, making up for his earlier miss, before Nwaneri came off the bench to complete the demolition of the champions and cut Liverpool’s lead at the top of the table.

Arsenal moved to 50 points from 24 games with Liverpool on 56 having played a game less.

City stay a distant fourth with 41 points from 24 games.
