13 teams have been eliminated from the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

Among the latest exits is Boca Juniors, who could only muster a 1-1 draw with Auckland City.

The Argentine club needed a win to stay in contention, but their fate also depended on Bayern Munich defeating Benfica.

However, Benfica edged out the German champions with a narrow 1-0 victory, securing top spot in the group and sending Boca home.

Tunisian club Esperance also saw their campaign come to an end after a heavy 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in a match played early Wednesday morning.

Goals from Tosin Adarabioyo, Liam Delap, and Tyrique George sealed the comfortable win for the Premier League side.
