Popular actor and digital content creator, Odira Nwobu, has passed away.

His death was first made public on Monday through a Facebook post by blogger and fellow content creator, Awuzie Frankline, who shared a video allegedly showing the entertainer lying lifeless.

Although Frankline did not disclose the full circumstances surrounding the sudden tragedy, multiple reports indicate that Nwobu was said to have died in South Africa, only hours after a night out at a club over the weekend.

The details remain unconfirmed, as neither his family nor his management has issued an official statement.

Frankline, visibly broken by the news, posted a series of emotional messages describing his disbelief and grief.

God, why! ODIRA, why leave us? The call I received just now was not a good one,” he wrote.

In another post, he lamented, “You were full of life just a few hours ago in South Africa, and you even had your thanksgiving service months ago with so many people celebrating you.

How can you return from South Africa lifeless? I am drowning in tears. Death is rude. I am heartbroken.”

Other colleagues have also reacted with shock.

Actress Evan Okoro expressed her disbelief, writing, “How? No! I can’t believe this, nooooo.”

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has not released an official announcement, increasing public uncertainty.

The actor had survived a serious car accident just months earlier.

A viral video at the time showed bystanders pulling victims from a mangled vehicle, sparking conversations about the pressures associated with the entertainment lifestyle and the need for improved well-being among performers.

Odira Nwobu earned a loyal following through his vibrant presence both on screen and online.

Known for his humorous skits, expressive acting style, and youthful fanbase, he had become one of the standout figures in the new wave of Nigerian content creation.
