Metro Realtor’s Hangout 4.0: Why We Are Training Realtors On Professionalism-Dr Adekunle Abdul, MD Abdul Metro Group

It was all fun, networking, enlightenment, and winnings at this year’s edition of Metro and Castle industry gathering, tagged Metro Realtors’ Hangout 4.0.

The annual event was put together by one of the most reliable real estate firms in Nigeria, a brainchild of Abdul Metro Group, under the steering of Dr Adekunle Abdul.

The event, which was held inside the Estate of Metro and Castle at Atlantic Layout Estates General Pain Bus-Stop, Lekki Expressway was organized by the company to reappraise all efforts of Realtors who have been actively involved in sales of its properties in the year ending, and also open a channel for realtors and potential buyers alike by introducing them to affordable luxury residential homes and apartments with flexible payment methods.

Stakeholders in the industry, like representatives from Stanbic IBTC, Lawson Sontonye, who is the Home Loan Manager, and a Relationship Manager from Leadway Insurance Mr Olumide Adelus, I witnessed the day and also spoke glowingly to the participants about the workable plans to make you a house owner or as a realtor who wants to market for a potential buyer.

The Company also made available, Heads of some of its departments, like Legal, who spoke of formalities on how to authenticate the true state of landed properties or estates in order not to run afoul of government laws when dealing with customers.

The company’s head of audit also took a turn to enlighten participants on government’s new tax regime, which takes effect from February 2026, a national discourse that has put many on edge.

According to the MD, “ the event was put together to show our integrity and capacity to realtors who are also big stakeholders in the business.

We have been very professional in the last 6years of building homes for people. We start and finish our houses on time, which has given real confidence to investors.

Our units are completely sold out now. The plan is to build 100 housing units next year. Also, we are now training Realtors on the desirables.

If you want to be professional on the job, lots of realtors came this year, and they were excited about what they learnt.”

Dr Abdul reiterated that the company is not just a real Estate brand that builds and sells houses, but a community development establishment. “We make provisions for all amenities that make a standard community, security, supermarkets, recreational centres, hospital, and everything you need to live an affordable and luxurious life are readily available.

At the event, gifts were presented to realtors that stood-out in the year with promises to make it bigger next year.
