NewsRain Nigeria reports that Senegal has defeated Morocco 1-0 in a dramatic 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final.

Pape Gueye then stunned Morocco in the first half of extra time with a sublime left-footed finish, to ensure the West Africans emerged champions.

Recall that both countries have only lifted the trophy once before, Morocco in 1976 and Senegal in 2021.

Meanwhile, Nigeria beat Egypt on penalties to finish third.
