Popular reality star has died after battling ovarian cancer.

NewsRain Nigeria reports that a reality star has died after battling a rare form of ovarian cancer.

Cass Lacelle, who rose to fame after appearing on the reality series Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise, passed away.

The TV star’s family revealed on Monday via an Instagram post that she died on February 11th after a “short but incredibly courageous battle with cancer.”

“Cass leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured,” the post continued.

“She is the definition of memorable; in just 34 years, she made an extraordinary impact on everyone who crossed her path.”

They added, “Our dearest Cass, you have been very brave for so very long. You did not yield. Forever, our Fireheart.”

Cass was just 34 when she died.

The TV personality announced her diagnosis in May 2025 and had undergone emergency surgery to remove a tumor.

She’s also completed multiple rounds of chemotherapy, hoping to rid the cancer from her body by the summer’s end.

On January 4th, Cass shared a heartbreaking update that her cancer had returned.

She posted a video of herself fighting back tears from a hospital bed and revealed that the cancer had “metastasized to her liver, stomach, abdominal lining, and omentum.”

Cass said that she had been in the hospital since December 6th and hadn’t lived a “pain-free day” since mid-November.

Fans shared their condolences with the family and kind words about Cass’s impact on Instagram.

Such an incredible light. An honor to have shared your infectious smile and energy. With the faeries now,” one person wrote.

Truly an angel on earth and in heaven. Will miss her contagious energy and laugh,” said another.

“A star that will never dull. Keep shining bright in our hearts and minds, Cass,” remarked a third.

Cassie, you will forever be missed. You are the purest more beautiful human being,” added a fourth.

Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise ran for one season on Freeform in 2024.

The series followed a group of wealthy, up-and-coming locals as they navigated their relationships, friendships, and careers on Grand Cayman.

Cass founded the social media marketing agency, Electric Media Group, based on the islands.
