Nigeria’s Covid-19 vaccine registration portal is now live, and here is the step-by-step guide on how to register to get your jab.

 

 

 

News Rain Nigeria reports that the Federal Government confirmed that the first tranche of Covid-19 vaccines will arrive in Nigeria on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, and the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has released guidelines on registering for the vaccination.

See the criteria and all you need to know about the COVID-19 vaccination in Nigeria below;

  1. Frontline healthcare workers, support staff, including those that work in high-risk areas such as point-of-entry workers, rapid response teams, contact tracing teams, COVID-19 vaccination teams, and strategic leadership will be eligible for the vaccines first.
  2. Nigerians who are aged 50 years and above will be eligible for vaccination.
  3. Nigerians aged 18 to 49 years but with significant underlying health issues will be eligible for the vaccine.
  4. Nigerians below the age of 18 are not eligible to take the vaccine.
  5. Federal Government plans to vaccinate approximately 109 million eligible Nigerians.
  6. Vaccination will take place over two years.
  7. Nigeria is expected to receive a total of 58.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines from the COVAX facility, the African Union, MTN, and the Government of India.

How to register for Covid-19 vaccination in Nigeria

  1. Visit https://nphcda.gov.ng/
  2. Click on ” covid-19 vaccination e-registration”
  3. In the Registration Form for COVID-19 Vaccination you are to fill in; your full names, phone number, email address, date of birth, sex, the type of National ID you have, a residential address which states, the LGA of residence, ward of residence and preferred vaccination site.
  4. You are meant to also select your preferred vaccination date and time slot, which ends with a photo update.
  5. You will receive a success message
