Ifeanyi Ubah has defeated APGA’s Soludo and PDP’s Ozigbo.

The senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has won his local government area, Nnewi North in the ongoing Anambra governorship election.

News Rain Nigeria gathered that Ifeanyi Ubah, the candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the ongoing Anambra election, defeated top challengers, Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), returning officer for the local government, Prof Joachim, announced Ifeanyi Ubah as the winner.

Senator Ubah polled 6,485 votes to beat the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, which polled 3,369.

Meanwhile, so far, INEC has announced 10 local government areas, out of the 21 in the state, with nine already won by APGA and her candidate, Charles Soludo.

Nnewi North LGA is the first to be won by a party other than APGA.
