Check-out Copy Of Self-Certification Form FG Wants Bank Account Holders To Fill

FG on Thursday ordered that all Nigerians with account holders in any bank to fill and submit Self–Certification Forms.

News Rain Reports that this was announced by the Federal Government in a social media statement on Thursday, as FG warned that failure to comply may include a monetary penalty or inability to operate the account.

The government however deleted the tweet today, Friday, 18th of September explaining that it does not apply to everybody, contrary to what it had earlier tweeted. The FIRS claims those affected are non-residents.

Meanwhile, News Rain gathered that some Nigerians queried the importance of BVN and National ID card if every account holder needs to fill out a self-certification form in the midst of a pandemic.
