EndSARS: Protesters Shut Down Oyo Secretariat
ENDSARS protesters vow to sleep at Agodi Secretariat premises.
News Rain Nigeria reports that ENDSARS protesters insisted on seeing the State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde for his address before they can leave the Secretariat premises.

The protesters mostly youths in their hundreds vowed to sleep at the entrance gate of the Agodi Secretariat if the Governor of the State refused to show up and address them on their demand.

As a result of this, all the entrance gates leading to the Secretariat were locked by the Security Operatives manning the gate.
The State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Seun Fakorede, tried to address the Youths but they refused him and asked for the Governor’s address instead.
As at the time of filing this report, at about 3:49 pm, all the protesters have ordered for bottles of exotic wines and foods from the nearby fast-food vendors, they vowed to stay at the entrance until the Governor come to address them, while both entrance gates to the Secretariat were on lockdown, the main gate and the second gate which is known as fire gate were under lock.

ENDSARS youths protesters had earlier took to the street in their peaceful protest headed to the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters Eleyele Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo State, where they were addressed by the State Police Commissioner, CP. Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu.
ENDSARS protesters are demanding an end to Special Anti Robbery Squad brutality, harassment, and alleged killings by the SARS operatives.
The youths started the march from the front gate of the University of Ibadan through Bodija market to the Oyo state police command, Eleyele, and stopped at the state Secretariat, Agodi, ventilating their agitation for the scrapping of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.
The protesters bemoaned that SARS officials see virtually every youth as an Internet fraudster and are quick to indiscriminately stop and search them while harassing and brutalizing them.

CP. Joe Enwonwu Nwachukwu, the State Commissioner for Police In his addressing the protesters, assured the youths that necessary measures have been put in place to check the excesses of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, noting that two new monitoring units have been established to review SARS operation in the state.
Some of the placards which the protesters used to drive home their messages had inscriptions that included: End Police Brutality; We are Nigerians, We are Innocent; Being a Youth is not a criminal offense; Stop Killing Us.
Recall, that the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde is in Ondo State ahead of Saturday gubernatorial Poll.
Some Civil Servants who were affected by going to their houses after working hours were of the opinion that the protests have been hijacked by some Yahoo Boys.
