The incident was captured in a viral video circulating on TikTok.

In the video, the man and his wife were sitting together, with the man wearing a necklace made of glued-together ₦1,000 notes around his neck.

His wife is also seen wearing a necklace made of ₦500 notes.

Upon its circulation online, commenters have tagged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the agency responsible for combating financial crimes, expressing concern over the misuse of naira.
