Wema Bank has unveiled “Evolution of Love” Valentine’s campaign, as it offers a celebrity wedding performance.

 

 

NewsRain Nigeria reports that Wema Bank has launched its 2026 Valentine’s Day campaign, “Evolution of Love, powered by Wema Bank,” offering customers a wide range of rewards, including a special celebrity performance for a couple getting married in February.

 

The campaign follows the recent rollout of “ALAT: The Evolution,” the upgraded version of the bank’s digital platform. Drawing inspiration from the app’s evolution, the initiative celebrates the different forms of love experienced by customers and how those relationships grow over time.

Unlike conventional Valentine promotions that focus solely on romantic relationships, Wema Bank’s “Evolution of Love” campaign broadens the scope to include self-love, friendship, marriage, and family, creating room for singles, friends, couples, and newlyweds to participate.

 

The campaign is open to both new and existing customers across four categories: singles (self-love), friends (friendship), married couples, and couples getting married in February.

 

Participants are required to create a “Love Goal” on the ALAT App and upload a one-minute video on any social media platform, sharing how their love journey has evolved.

 

Rewards range from cash prizes and spa vouchers to vacations, expense-paid getaways, and, for one wedding couple, a live performance by a celebrity artiste sponsored by the bank.

 

Speaking on the campaign, Wema Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Moruf Oseni, said love remains central to the bank’s customer-centric philosophy.

 

“Love is at the heart of true customer-centric service, and as a bank that prides itself on putting customers first, this value reflects in everything we do,” Oseni said.

 

“This year, we chose to celebrate love in its many forms, reflecting the diverse experiences of our customers—from friendships that have stood the test of time to couples taking the bold step into marriage, and even singles, because self-love is equally important.”

 

He added that the campaign is designed to ensure every customer feels valued during the Valentine’s season.

 

“For singles and friends, we aim to promote self-love and genuine friendship. For families and married couples, we want to strengthen bonds by celebrating how far they’ve come.

 

For couples getting married, we’re adding an unforgettable moment to their special day. Ultimately, our goal is for every Wema Bank customer to feel loved this season and beyond,” Oseni said.

 

Interested participants are required to post their one-minute video on any social media platform using the hashtag #ALATEvolutionofLove, while tagging @alat_ng and @wemabank.

 

To qualify, customers must activate SAW, the voice-banking virtual assistant on the upgraded ALAT App, create and fund a personal or group goal named “Love Goal,” and carry out transactions using their ALAT or Wema Bank card between February 1 and February 10.
