Oyetola Orders Investigation Over Death Of Suspected Yahoo Boys In Osogbo
Oyetola, Osun state governor has called for a full investigation over the death of Yahoo boys.
News Rain gathered that Adegboyega Oyetola called for immediate and discreet investigation over the loss of lives of two suspected Yahoo boys.
The suspected Yahoo boys were alleged to have been chased till death by the Officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), yesterday Tuesday, in Osogbo.

Governor Oyetola said the investigation is necessary and must be a matter of urgency, so as to unravel the circumstances surrounding the untimely death of those two innocent Nigerians.
The two victims were said to have died as a result of their involvement in a ghastly motor accident during the hot chase by SARS in Osogbo.
Governor Oyetola expressed his concern over the sad incident through a statement that was signed by Mrs. Funke Egbemode, the State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation.

The statement which was made available to the pressmen quoted Governor Oyetola who said: “I was deeply disturbed by Tuesday evening’s sad events and had asked the State Command of the Nigerian Police to get to the bottom of the matter”.
”The tragic events that reportedly led to the death of two person on Tuesday evening was both sad and shocking and Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has ordered a full investigation into the circumstances that led to it all”.

“To the Governor all lives matter and nobody has a right under our laws to take a life summarily. While we appreciate the great job our law enforcement agencies are doing to keep Osun safe, the confusion and disruption to our peaceful state capital on Tuesday needs to be investigated”’.
‘We hereby call on the Osun State Command of the Nigerian Police to launch a comprehensive investigation into this tragedy”.

Oyetola Appeals To Families.
”Meanwhile, the Governor has appealed to the families of the deceased and the injured not to take matters into their hands by hurting more people or destroying properties. We implore our citizens to trust the Government to get to the bottom of this sad occurrence”.
”Let us all go about our lives peacefully while we await results of the investigation” .’Oyetola stated.
However, on the account of an eyewitness, who pleaded anonymous confirmed that three boys were actually in the car that was chased by the SARS officers, but two were confirmed to have died instantly at the spot of the accident while one was seriously injured.

She said ” we saw them chasing the car, and the next thing we saw was the crash of the chased vehicle with electricity pole and two boys that were at the front seat died instantly at the spot while the third guy was rushed to the hospital”.
