At the event which was also held to mark the first anniversary of the parliament, the Speaker of the parliament, Toba Fatunla said the only way to secure the future of the country is to make the nation prosperous. He also added that the youths must also have the right mindset to succeed.

He said: “Integrity is gradually becoming scarce in our society, it is important as youths to be thoroughly furnished with the right mindset; this will go a long way in preparing us for placement in the future. Preparation is the bedrock of success. He that fails to plan is planning to fail. We are therefore taking initiative to plan, prepare, and process our youth for leadership in the foreseeable future”.

As we are massively blessed with human resources, it’s important our youths find the right mentors, right process, knowledge, and information. At 60, the future of Nigeria resides in the development of the youths. In this regard, our youths must be positioned to take charge. Our prosperity is in the youths.”

The workshop was attended by selected youths from all organizations in Ekiti State. Resource persons at the events were the Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on Values Orientation, Kayode Oso, Director of Youths in the Ekiti State Ministry, Odunayo Adesoye, Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Eyitayo Fabunmi among others.
