I Prayed For Agboola’s Exit From APC – Akeredolu Reveals
Akeredolu has revealed how he prayed for his Deputy’s exit from APC.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Ondo State Governor Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu who just won another four years ticket to serve the State as Governor has on Sunday revealed that he prayed for his erstwhile deputy exit from APC.

Recall that Mr. Agboola Ajayi who was the Deputy Governor to Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu on Saturday, 10th, October 2020, contested against his former boss, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party, but lost to his boss at the outcome of the election.

However, Mr. Akeredolu after his re-election had stated that he at some certain time has to prayed for his then Deputy to leave their party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), so that he can have all power to fight him politically.
Governor Akeredolu who could not hide his joy while speaking shortly when he was declared winner at his residence in Akure, said he was happy that God answered his prayer which resulted in the former deputy governor’s exit from the party.

Akeredolu stressed that it was very bad for someone to co-inhabit a house with a snake, he said: “When I saw his movements and body language, I already knew that the man has made up his mind to go, I was praying fervently for him to go, and I’m so glad that God eventually answered my prayers and he left our party for ZLP”.
Akeredolu further said: “You cannot have someone who would be there and would be ready to stab you at the back and you would leave him. You cannot have a snake under your roof and you think that you can sleep well in that same house. It would be good for the snake to go so that you can stay and sleep with all your closed.

“The incident has actually taught me another lesson in politics. Though it is not a new thing. It has happened over and over.
” During those days, in the South-West, even in the North. Look at the case of Baba Awolowo and Akintola. We also have the case of Omoboriowo and Ajasin. You can even talk of Bola Ige and Afolabi. There are so many other instances.” Akeredolu stressed.
