Two Policemen have died in a motor accident in Ondo state.
News Rain Nigeria reports that two police officers on Tuesday lost their lives in an alone motor accident that occurred at Oba Ile – Akure Road, of Ondo State.

The accident, according to an eyewitness who pleaded anonymously said that not less than eight people sustain various degrees of injuries and also confirmed the death of two Policemen.
The eyewitness also revealed that the accident happened due to over speeding of one blue Nissan Pick Up Van that conveyed the two Policemen, which one of its tires burst while at high speed, and as a result, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The registration number of the Police van was given as NPF 9557 C.
She said: “The accident happened at the sharp bend on the dual carriage when the of tyre of the vehicle got bursted, and the vehicle somersaulted two times, and in the process, two out of the 12 policemen that were inside the vehicle died on the spot.
However, the sad incident has been confirmed by the Ondo State Police Command, through the State Police Public Relation Officer SP. Tee-Leo Ikoro who said the, “We lost two of our men to the accident.
“But the other person who sustained different degrees of injuries are in stable conditions now at the Police Clinic where they are receiving treatment,” Ikolo said.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Federal Road Safety (FRSC), were on ground to take the injured victims to the hospital and to maintain traffic law and order at the scene of the accident.
