Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki has disclosed that he is not owing civil servants.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki said he owes no civil servant any salaries.

Obaseki made the confirmation through a statement that was signed and issued to the effect by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, on Wednesday.
Obaseki said the state government has never reneged on its obligations to pay workers and other cadres of staff their due wages and salaries, and debunking allegations that he owes some public officials over political difference.
Obaseki through the statement stated that “Edo State Government remains one of the few states in Nigeria that has been faithful with its salary obligations to workers.
The government believes that every worker is deserving of his or her wage. So, the claims being made by some persons over owed salaries are baseless.
Obaseki added that the allegation that the state is being owed over political differences is even more ridiculous. The allegations are false and should be disregarded.
