PDP urges Nigerian leaders to make use of Maulud Nabiyi to kindle national rebirth.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has on Wednesday called on Nigeria leaders to make use of the Maulud Nabiyi Celebrations to rekindle the hope of Nigerians on national rebirth.

Peoples Democratic Party through a statement by its national Publicity Relation Officer, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan stated that the party has urged Nigerians, particularly the leaders, to make good use of this year’s Eid-el Maulud celebrations to kindle a national rebirth with actions that reassure the people and reinforce the stability, unity and peaceful co-existence in our country.

Ologbondiyan through the statement maintained that the Party charge all people of faith across the country to use the occasion to pray for direction and God’s intervention to enable the nation to overcome its current social, economic, and security challenges.
He said, “Indeed, Eid-el Maulud, the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed, offers us as a nation, an invaluable opportunity to reposition our value system in pursuit of national unity, equity and social justice; adherence to rule of law, respect for human rights, welfare of the people, transparency, accountability and prudence in governance while shunning all acts of corruption and oppression that provoke bitterness, restiveness and division among the people,”.
Ologbondiyan noted that the federal government should make use of the occasion of Eid-el Maulud to promote discourse and policies that will restore unity and calm frayed nerves particularly at this trying time in the history of our nation.
The PDP scribe stressed that the party believes in the sense of brotherliness among Nigerians and urge that such should be promoted and guided jealously so as to ensure the stability and prosperity of our nation,”

The Party makes used of the medium to pray for the nation while wishing all Muslim faithful and indeed all Nigerians a glorious Eid-el Maulud celebration.
However, PDP through the statement congratulates Prof. Mahmood Yakubu on his reappointment as the national Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), but also charge him to see his reappointment as an avenue to redeem himself, the image of the commission and also to prepare for credible free and fair elections.
The Party through the statement maintained that Prof Yakubu should in the light of this five-year extension, Kindles hopes that the failures, disappointments, and miscarriages that characterized his first five years tenure will have no place in the new order.
