Nigeria Military Neutralize 22 Boko Haram, ISWAP Militias
Nigeria troops have neutralized 22 Boko Haram and ISWAP Militias in Borno.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Military through the Operation Fire Ball, which is a subsidy of Operation Lafia Dole has successfully secured an army super camp, and in the process killed not less than 22 Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters.
According to an Operation update from the Acting Director of the Defence Media Operation (DDMO), Brigadier General Benard Onyeuko stressed that no fewer than 22 fighters of the Islamic State of the West African Provide and Boko Haram were killed in their attempt to attack an Army Super Camp in Borno State.

The update which was released to newsmen on Thursday, 29th October 2020, stated that the 22 fighters were killed by the troops of Operation FIREBALL under Operation LAFIA DOLE.
General Onyeuko through the update maintained that on 25 October 2020, in what could appear to be a suicide journey the BokoHaram/Islamic State of West African Province attacked the well-fortified Army Super Camp Damboa under 25 Bde in Sector 2.
He stated that the terrorists met their waterloo as they were pounded with superior firepower and additional fire support from the Air Task Force.
“The criminals withdrew in the rout as they could not withstand the well organized and determined soldiers during the encounter.
The defense operation media officer also stressed that the Boko Haram terrorists suffered severe casualties as 22 terrorists were neutralized others escaped with varying degrees of gunshot wounds, 2 Gun trucks destroyed, One NSV Anti Aircraft Gun, 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Tubes, 4 PKT Machine guns, One General Purpose Machine Gun, One Browning Machine Gun, 12Ak 47 Rifles, One AK 74 Rifle were recovered. Other items include: One RPG 7 bomb, 116 Rounds of 7.62mm NATO, and 2 Hand grenades were recovered from the terrorists. Few of their own soldiers were wounded in action and have since been evacuated and receiving medical treatment.
Brig. Gen. Onyeuko, however through the update assured the people of the State of the committed efforts of the military towards securing the entire state from the grip of terrorists, he said, “the entire populace of the North East are hereby assured of the Nigerian military high command determination to finally rout the remnants the Boko Haram Terrorists and ISWAP criminals from their enclaves in this zone”,
“The troops of Operation Fire Ball under operation LAFIYA DOLE are hereby commended for the resilience, doggedness, and commitment exhibited since the beginning of Operation FIREBALL. They are equally encouraged not to rest on their oars but build on the successes recorded.
