Tears As NSCDC Buries Officer Who Died During Kidnap Rescue Mission
NSCDC Oyo Command has buried one of its Officers.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has buried one of its Officers, Inspector of Corps, IC. Oyewole Segun Benjamin.
The officer who was laid to rest amidst tears was said to have been shot dead by suspected kidnappers during the Joint Security Task force Operation duty to secure release of the abducted Lebanese that was kidnapped at Panarama Farm in Mekun Oke Alaro area of Ibadan.

The deceased until his death, according to a press release to the development by the State Public Relation Officer of the Corps, CD. Oluwole Olusegun, was attached to the NSCDC Armed Sqaud, and was among of the State Security Outfit personnels (Operation Burst).
According copy of the release made available to newsmen, it stressed that the deceased who was on his Secondment to the State Joint Security Task Force (OPERATION BURST) while on an Official duty to rescue the Lebanese kidnapped at Panarama Farm Mekun, Oke Alaro fell to the bullet of the gunmen that laid ambush for the team on Saturday.
The State Command of the Corps, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya, while speaking during the burial rites of the felled Officer, expressed sympathy of the management to the family of the deceased, while prayed that the God grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The State Commandant was represented at the burial by Assistant Commandant of Corps, ACC . Akeju Yomi.
Body of the deceased was later laid to rest at his site at Araba Oluwo Area of Ibadan.
IC. Oyewole Segun Benjamin survived by aged parents, siblings, wife and children.
