1. Over One Thousand APC Members Join PDP
No fewer than 1000 supporters of former Governor, Abdulaziz Yari and Senator Kabiru Marafa from Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State have dumped the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and embraced the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The decampees were yesterday evening received earlier by the PDP State Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani Maikatako who later presented them to Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle at his residence in Gusau, the state capital.

The leader of the decampees, Comrade Abdullahi Danda Bungudu said they were at the Governor’s residence to register their support as they had declared their defection earlier at the state PDP Secretariat and were received officially by the State Party Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani.

2. You’re A Pathetic Liar, Not To Be Taken Seriously – Jonathan Camp Replies Babangida
The camp of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has lambasted the ex-governor o Niger state, Babangida Aliyu, for claiming he had an agreement with northern Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors not to run in 2015.
Jonathan challenged the former Niger governor to name witnesses that witnessed the said agreement.

It will be recalled as earlier reported by Naija News that Aliyu while reacting to his suspension by the PDP in Chachanga Local Government Area of Niger, said the North would have lost out completely if Jonathan got reelected.

Aliyu who was the chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum said after northern governors supported Jonathan to complete the tenure of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, the former president was still allowed to contest in 2011.

He said PDP governors in northern states opposed Jonathan’s bid for a second term because he reneged on their agreement not to seek another tenure.

“Since this was against the grain of our earlier agreement in the party, and which we the governors in the north felt the North would have been shortchanged if Jonathan had succeeded, we rose stoutly to insist on the agreement we all had,” he had said.

But reacting in a statement on behalf of Jonathan sent to THISDAY, Reno Omokri, said there was no agreement whether oral or written between Jonathan and PDP northern governors.

 

3. Apostle Okikijesu Predicts President Buhari Death In Fresh Prophecies
Apostle Okikijesu has predicted the death of President Buhari and Ivorian President in fresh prophecies.

The Founder, Christ Apostolic Miracle Ministry, Apostle Paul Okikijesu, has called religious leaders to pray against the death of Nigerian and Ivorian Presidents, Muhammadu Buhari and Alassane Ouattara.

In a statement on Saturday containing some prophecies, he said, “Pray against the death of Presidents of Nigeria and Ivory Coast.”

 

The cleric declared that a “brave person will pass away this month in Nigeria,” adding that the individual’s “death will make people tremble,” and will have “a widespread effect on the nation.” According to him, “Thus says the Lord: The religious leaders should pray quickly against the death of these Presidents, else it will happen.

 

4. Ohanaeze Sends Strong Message To FG Over Deployment Of Military To Southeast
Ohanaeze Ndigbo has sent a strong message to FG over the deployment of the military to the Southeast.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, on Sunday, cautioned the Federal Government against any deployment of the military to the South-East.

The group warned that such action could lead to Nigeria’s break up.

In a statement made available to NewsOnline Nigeria, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide gave the caution.

According to him, “Southeast has remained the nation’s safest place for foreign and local investments. What is happening now is not strange as the UK Ambassador announced in his earlier warnings that Northern bandits were sponsored to the South, possibly to wreak havoc and tensions in the region.

 

5. Inspector Of Police Commits Suicide In Aba
Inspector of Police attached to the popular Osisioma Mobile Police Force Unit (Mopol 55) Ochofie Ijimbile has reportedly shot himself to death.

Though details about the death of the police inspector were still sketchy, it was gathered he shot himself in the chest in the barracks.

He was said to have died at a hospital he was rushed to by his colleagues.

There were unconfirmed reports the deceased policeman, who was a security man at a hotel, decided to take his life because he could not repay a particular debt.

Public Relations Officer of the Abia Command Geoffrey Ogbonna confirmed Ijimbile’s death.

He denied the policeman committed suicide but was servicing his rifle when it triggered.
