Nigeria Releases 28-Man Final List For AFCON 2021(See Full List Here)

Head coach Augustine Eguaevon has named the 28-final list of the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations.

News Rain Nigeria gathered that this was confirmed in a statement by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) in a post on its verified Twitter page.

Eguavoen, who coached the Super Eagles to a third-place finish at the finals in Egypt 15 years ago, selected four goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and 10 forwards to aim for Nigeria’s fourth diadem in Cameroon.

The African cup of nations will kick-off in Cameroon on the 9th of January with Captain Ahmed Musa, midfield enforcer Wilfred Ndidi and effervescent forward Victor Osimhen all making the cut for the competition.

Super Eagles would confront seven-time and record winners Egypt, Sudan, and debutants Guinea Bissau.

All invited players, except those based in the UK, are expected to arrive in camp in Nigeria’s federal capital, Abuja on 29th December.

The UK-based players are expected to start arriving on Monday, 3rd January.
