Veteran comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has announced the end of his marriage with Elsie Okpocha.

The comic star made the announcement on his official Instagram page on Thursday, saying the decision to part ways with his wife is difficult for them but unavoidable.

According to Basketmouth, the children’s welfare and upkeep will remain their priority despite their separation.

He urged the public to respect their privacy as they navigate through their difficult times.

He wrote, “As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation. After much deliberation, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.

“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need. We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you.”

Recall that Basketmouth and Elsie Uzoma Okpocha tied the knot in 2010. They have three children together, Janelle, Jason, and Maya Okpocha.
