Policemen Stab Soldier To Death In Ikorodu

A yet-to-be-identified soldier was on Wednesday killed by policemen in Lagos.

According to reports, the incident happened in the Odogunyan area of Ikorodu, the border town of Ogijo, between Ogun State and Lagos State.

A source in the area said he narrowly escaped death as people are shooting in the area.

He said the policemen ran away to Ogijo Police Station when they discovered the victim was an officer.

“The soldier was killed at Odogunyan by policemen, he was in mufti. Immediately they realised he was an officer, they ran away to Ogijo police station.

“The soldiers mobilised to the station and burnt a danfo (bus) belonging to the police. There is chaos along Lagos/Sagamu Road. People are rushing home, shops closed,” source disclosed.

“I could not identify those shooting cause it was already dark. As I came down from the bus, they just started shooting and everybody scampered for safety. I narrowly escaped death tonight.”
