FG Approves N19bn for NPower Training and Npower stipend update today.

The Nigerian Federal Government has given its approval for a substantial amount of N19.24 billion. These funds will be utilized for the training of non-graduate NPower beneficiaries and to bolster infrastructure projects.

NPower Funding Boost: FG Approves N19.24bn for Training and Infrastructure Development

In a major development for the NPower initiative, the Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria has granted its approval for a substantial amount of N19.24bn. This funding is intended to address two key areas: training 50,000 non-graduate NPower beneficiaries and supporting various infrastructural projects across the country.

Funding Breakdown

The approved sum will be distributed as follows:

NPower Training: N14.21bn has been allocated to train non-graduate NPower beneficiaries. This training will be carried out by four federal agencies: the National Institute of Transport Technology, Industrial Training Fund, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, and the Hydraulic Equipment Development Institute.

Infrastructure Development: N3.05bn will be utilized for procuring taxiway lighting systems at the Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Abuja airports. Additionally, N605m has been earmarked for consultancy services for the Dadin Kowa 40MW power project in Gombe State. Furthermore, N1.3bn will be utilized for furnishing the 10-storey headquarters of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
