Children’s Day 2025: Make It WoW Hosts 6th Children’s Day Fiesta In Lagos

Make it WOW Foundation has marked the sixth edition of the WOW Children’s Day Fiesta.
The event held in Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, focused on the theme: Full Inclusion, bringing together hundreds of children for a day of fun, learning, and empowerment.
Also, the children’s day fiesta witnessed a record-breaking 1,758 children from various communities across Lagos, including children living with disabilities, orphans, and children from underserved backgrounds.
This landmark event was spearheaded by Owolabi Emmanuel Tosin, the Founder and CEO of Make It WoW Limited and Make It WoW Humanitarian Foundation.
The renowned event visionary and humanitarian advocate, Owolabi, has consistently championed inclusivity in community engagement and children’s development across Africa.
His tireless efforts have positioned him as a leading voice for inclusion and equality on the continent.
In his words, Owolabi said this year’s theme, “Full Inclusion”, underscored a vital message: every child deserves access, joy, and opportunity, regardless of their physical, mental, or social challenges.
The highlight of the event was the presence of renowned human rights advocate and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mrs. Funmi Falana (SAN), who delivered a compelling speech on the importance of inclusion, equity, and collective responsibility in creating a more accessible and fair society for children.
Children from the Down Syndrome Foundation of Nigeria gave an emotional and joyful performance that reminded all in attendance of the power of visibility and belonging.
The event was intentionally designed with accessible activities—from ball pits for children with mobility limitations to horse rides, train rides, and bouncy castles, ensuring no child was left out.
In partnership with Emergency Response Africa, kids were also taught life-saving CPR skills in a fun and practical format, reinforcing that empowerment should start early and be available to all.
“This Fiesta is more than a celebration; it’s a movement to ensure every child, regardless of their ability, feels seen, safe, and supported,” said Owolabi Emmanuel Tosin.
“We urgently call on the Nigerian government and well-meaning individuals to support the Make It WoW Humanitarian Foundation in our mission to create accessible spaces, programs, and opportunities for children living with disabilities.”
“We believe that true development starts with how a society treats its most vulnerable.
Through continued collaboration and funding, we can build a future where inclusion is no longer a theme but a reality”. He concluded.
The children had an abundance of food, drinks, music, laughter, and gifts thanks to generous donations from our sponsors and partners.
