Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has called on the citizens of Anambra State to embrace the values of hard work and commitment to a noble cause, as reflected in the state’s Rebirth Program for economic development and peaceful coexistence.
The governor stated this at a campaign rally in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, ahead of the November gubernatorial election, where he called for collective efforts in advancing progress among the state’s indigenes for sustainable development.
The erstwhile governor of the country’s apex bank stressed his administration’s initiatives aimed at empowering youths through digital training for entrepreneurial growth and wealth creation, like the One-Youth-Two-Skill Plus, where over 8,300 beneficiaries have received grants.
At the event, the governor, popularly known as “The Solution,” was extolled for his infrastructure projects in Anaocha due to his transformation of vital sectors of the economy.
Chief Kenneth Echendu, representing the Presidents-General in the LGA, Mrs. Obumneme Okafor, representing parents, Mr. Abba Jonas on behalf of motorcycle operators, and Chief Dan Ogbuefi, expressed appreciation for the Governor’s developmental strides.
They commended his visionary leadership and infrastructure drive in turning Anambra into a destination where business and economic activities thrive, coupled with the improved security situation.
A key highlight of the event was the conferment of the Chieftaincy title “Ekwueme Anaocha” on Governor Soludo, who was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo, and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
At a recent event, Governor Soludo affirmed that the culture that celebrates and expects something for nothing or wealth without work must give way to a culture that rewards and celebrates hard work, enterprise, and integrity.
