According to reports, Egwuagu had been battling cancer for some time and was on the to total recovery when she finally succumbed to the cold hands of death days back.

An alumna of the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, the filmmaker is known for her movies: Mr & Mrs (2012), Mr & Mrs. Revolution (2017), and Ayaka (2016).

The movie, directed by Teco Benson, featured notable actors, such as Rita Dominic, Chidi Mokeme, Tana Adelana, Akin Lewis, Yaw, Munachi Abii, and many others.

It tells the story of a couple, Sharon (Rita Dominic) and Kobi (Chidi Mokeme), who attempts to tell a truth about some of the conflicts, confinement, independence, and struggles in marriages.

Speaking about the movie at the time, Egwuagu said: “A lot of things happen in marriages, which most times lead to separation or divorce, especially in this present age, and Mr. and Mrs. Revolution tends to cover most of the factors that couples face in marriages.

“The new chapter of Mr. and Mrs. is a totally different package from the first one. The storyline is different, yet does not lose line with the realities faced in marriages. The audiences are going to love this one, because it is something everyone can relate to.”
