NNPCL Reduces Fuel Price

NNPCL, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS).

As of Saturday, 5th of July, 2025, the price of petrol at NNPCL stations dropped from N945 to N910 per litre, marking a N35 reduction.

The revised price was observed at key outlets, including those located in Zone 6, Kubwa Expressway, Wuse Zone 4, and other parts of the Federal Capital Territory.

This price cut follows closely on the heels of a similar move by the Dangote Refinery, which earlier in the week reduced its ex-depot price of petrol from N880 to N840 per litre.

The reduction is largely attributed to a recent dip in global crude oil prices.

The development is expected to provide some relief to motorists and consumers amid persistent concerns over rising fuel costs and inflation.

Also, members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association also announced a reduction in the petrol price to between N930 and N940 per litre from N945 and N975 in Abuja and N890 per litre, down from N925 in Lagos State.
