Lizzy Anjorin has accepted a boxing challenge with Iyabo Ojo.

NewsRain Nigeria reports that Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has accepted show promoter Paul Okoye’s long-standing celebrity boxing challenge to fight fellow actress Iyabo Ojo.

She accepted the challenge in a post on her official Instagram page on Sunday, a few days after the celebrity boxing match between streamer Carter Efe and Afrobeats star, Portable.

According to the post, Anjorin said she was ready to step into the ring, years after Paulo initially proposed a celebrity boxing match between her and Ojo.

She wrote, “Paul O, I saw your post a few years ago calling Iyabo and me for a ring fight. As of today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge.

“You (Paul O) and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop in the ring. Then the next day, it will be me and Iyabo Ojo in the ring.”

The actress, while outlining conditions for the fight, challenged Paul O and Iyabo Ojo to publicly declare their assets and achievements, a move that has since reignited a long-standing feud between the parties.

Anjorin wrote, “You can’t talk about your status or claimed fake riches. The last time I checked, you and Iyabo Ojo are still tenants while Chief Lawal owns estates and mansions. I challenge both of you to show your properties and achievements with proper documentation for verification.

“Let this serve as a lesson: Never disrespect or look down on anybody. Just because we don’t show off doesn’t mean your 1943 Bentley can buy even a plot of land from our estate.”

Recall that in 2024, Paulo floated the idea of a celebrity boxing match between the actresses, with a proposed ₦10 million prize for the winner.

Tensions escalated in 2025 after Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin. Although the case was later struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated plans to pursue further legal action.

The dispute has been marked by repeated exchanges, allegations, and police petitions, with both parties frequently clashing online.

Anjorin’s acceptance comes amid a growing trend of celebrity boxing in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.

Meanwhile, recall that last Friday, Portable lost in the ring to Carter Efe at a celebrity fight event in Lagos, further fuelling public interest in such contests.
